Dr. Steven Hamvay first became introduced to chiropractic soon after being involved in an auto accident at the age of 12. Suffering from a broken leg, he spent the next 3 months in a full-leg cast followed by an additional 3 months in a walking brace. With limited improvements to the function and atrophy of his leg, and increasing pain in his lower back, he was finally sent to his first chiropractor. After only a few weeks of treatment, the back pain was gone and balance was restored to his leg.
After high school, Dr. Hamvay attended Orange Coast College where he spent a number of years pursuing education in wide variety of fields, including: Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, and Behavioral Science. Despite the interest in these fields, his true passion was rooted in the understanding of anatomy and physiology, in which he made the honor roll. Following a terrifying rollover accident in his early 20's, and yet another inspiring visit to a chiropractor; he realized that his passion was now a calling.
